Criteria

Question 1: Does species need conservation or recovery in England?
Response: No
Justification: Now regarded as extinct, with the last plant seen at Gayle Beck in 2008 (Rich 2013a); the Tarn Beck, Seathwaite location is now thought to be a species of Hieracium sect Tridentata (B. Burrow & T. Rich, unpublished).
Question 2: Does recovery/ conservation depend on species-specific actions?
Response: Yes
Justification: Extinct and no seed held in Seed Bank. Any further work will depend on discovery of new populations.
Question 3: At a landscape scale, would the species benefit from untargeted habitat management to increase habitat mosaics, structural diversity, or particular successional stages?
Response: No
Justification: This species would not benefit from untargeted management
