Criteria

Question 1: Does species need conservation or recovery in England?
Response: No
Justification: A species only present in England. Although relatively locally distributed the snail is maintaining good populations at a number of sites in East Sussex e.g. Southerham Down, Lewes; banks of River Ouse south of Lewes, dunes near Rye Harbour so no actions are proposed at this time.
Question 2: Does recovery/ conservation depend on species-specific actions?
Response: No
Justification: Appears to be doing well at its East Sussex sites and requires general management to maintain its open, unshaded (but not over-grazed) habitat
Question 3: At a landscape scale, would the species benefit from untargeted habitat management to increase habitat mosaics, structural diversity, or particular successional stages?
Response: No
Justification: This species would not benefit from untargeted management
