Justification: A thermophilous species of exposed pools on southern heathland, the distribution of G. flavipes has clearly contracted historically, mainly due to the loss of Home Counties heaths. However, its current distribution appears stable and it's described (Foster et al, 2016) as still abundant on The Lizard, Dorset heaths and New Forest.
