Criteria

Question 1: Does species need conservation or recovery in England?
Response: No
Justification: The last English record was from 103 years ago (1921) in atypical habitat, there is a single record from Wales in 1997. The species is listed as Critically Endangered but with the complete lack of records would appear to be extinct in England.
Question 2: Does recovery/ conservation depend on species-specific actions?
Response: No
Justification: Habitat descriptions are non-specific and listed in the NERC review as deciduous woodland. Added to this the lack of records for over 100 years little suggestion can be made in the way of targeted actions
Question 3: At a landscape scale, would the species benefit from untargeted habitat management to increase habitat mosaics, structural diversity, or particular successional stages?
Response: No
Justification: This species would not benefit from untargeted management
