Response: No
Justification: This is presumed to be an introduced species since it has only ever been recorded in the vicinity of ports and harbours. Conservation is therefore not appropriate, it has only been found in one location in the UK (Widewater lagoon) and had not been recorded there since 1990 and may therefore be extinct.

Response: No
Justification: An apparently expanding species that seems well established in the lower Severn and Wye and tributaries such as the Lugg and probably smaller streams too. (2023 record from Afon Tawe near Swansea and also expanding in Ireland with no records in 2015 Atlas but now recorded from 5 hectads).
