Criteria

Question 1: Does species need conservation or recovery in England?
Response: No
Justification: (No GB Red List for micro-moths.) At the time of the last BAP Review this species had a highly restricted distribution in the West Midlands. Subsequently it has colonised a number of counties on the eastern side of England, presumably as a result of migrants from the continent.
Question 2: Does recovery/ conservation depend on species-specific actions?
Response: No
Justification: Now more widespread and common than it has ever been. Recovery complete.
Question 3: At a landscape scale, would the species benefit from untargeted habitat management to increase habitat mosaics, structural diversity, or particular successional stages?
Response: No
Justification: This species does not require habitat mosaics or successional stages as the larvae feed on Aspen, which is not dependant on that management.
