Welcome

This site is primarily about the wildlife I encounter on my wanderings around the local Sussex countryside including my smallish, rural garden, which is mainly left to its own devices.

I've also included some of the wonderful wildlife I've been lucky enough to see on my travels primarily to France, Spain and Bulgaria.

My wildlife interest started with birds back in my teens but that interested has expanded to butterflies, dragonflies, hoverflies, plants, and since 2021, Moths. The latter has become somewhat of an obsession as I now trap around twice a week and all year round, whenever the weather is suitable.

This site is very much work in progress and I'll expand it slowly as I find the time - which basically means the Winter months.
